Bengal BJP Protests Against Power Bill Hike

In West Bengal, the BJP will hold a rally today to protest against the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) following a recent High Court ruling. The Calcutta High Court allowed the rally with a maximum of 1,000 participants, provided it adheres to noise pollution regulations and does not inconvenience the public. This rally comes in response to the BJP’s claims of increased electricity bills, despite the state government’s counsel arguing that there has been no hike in charges by the CESC.
